Do the four walls of a classroom hinder what learning activities you can do with your students? This hands-on workshop will explore architectural and pedagogical strategies that can transform traditional learning spaces into areas that foster collaboration, creativity, and authentic Deep Learning. We'll explore case studies that draw on theory and research around 21st century skills, while highlighting features of the physical environment that support student-centered learning and a positive sense of well-being. Share/pair activities and large group discussions will allow participants to walk away with innovative strategies to transform their school’s learning environments into spaces that foster Deeper Learning experiences.
