Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity full

High school and higher ed institutions with existing internship programs will collaborate and share their best-practices. “Rookies” will learn from experienced experts. Teachers, Principals and system-level leaders who are curious about how to add a real-world dimension to their personalized learning model will walk away with a clearer understanding of the benefits and steps for implementation of an authentically student-interest-driven internship program.

Session participants will hear from and engage with an experienced internship coordinator, internship-focused school design coach, and high school students.

We will address 4 key areas of challenge to implementing an interest-driven internship program:
How to develop a local network of mentors.
How to guide and support students.
How to adjust school design to accommodate academic internships.
How to address student safety and compliance.
