Limited Capacity full

We all want to help all students, every day, get what they need to succeed. Scaffolding- the structures and supports that help students learn skills and knowledge they don’t have, yet- is a key way to do it. But while scaffolding is a term we use a lot in the Deeper Learning community, we usually don’t define it or articulate what quality scaffolding looks like. In this session, we’ll review examples of quality project-embedded scaffolding at a variety of grade levels and determine the characteristics of the kind of scaffolding that helps all students, every day succeed. We’ll brainstorm key moves that ensure student success, and we’ll culminate by giving you time to design, and present, your own exemplary scaffolding.
